Treasure Act number 2007 T169 Acquired by Exeter Museum
A 16th century silver-gilt dress-pin with hollow-cast spherical head. There is a circular hole in the base of the pin head, indicating where the shaft would have fitted. The entire shaft has been lost. The head is applied with filigree and granulated ornament in the form of circles and knops. Some of the knops are missing and some are worn.
