A Roman silver finger ring of keeled type with straight sub-triangular sloping shoulders. The hoop is incomplete and bent, with a break on the opposite side to the bezel. The hoop has a flattened oval profile varying from 2.5mm thick at the keel to 0.9mm thick at the break. The bezel is 10.1mm wide and has a hollow for a missing gem or intaglio setting. The shoulders are plain and there is no additional decoration. The silver appears to be brittle and may have a high copper component. Internal diameter: 17.4 mm; external diameter: 22.47 mm; weight: 3.75g

A silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), FORTVNA AVG, Salus seated left feeding snake rising from altar. No mintmark; Unattributed Mint. This coin is not published and is the only example of its type in Sam Moorhead's corpus for a new edition of RIC. There is a radiate with a MLXXI mintmark with a similar style Salus - Classical Numismatic Group - Electronic Auction 211, Lot 402 (3 6 2009) - but the denarius was probably struck earlier in the reign. Sherds of New Forest colour-coated beakers (c.270 onwards). Samian wares (1st - 2nd century). 3 sherds of grog-tempered drop-flange bowls (4th century in Herts.) . Black-burnished wares (1st - 2nd century). Mortarium sherd with flint grits. Greyware sherds, including a Drop flange bowl (probably 3rd century) and a fine ware lid. Fragments of tegula and brick.

A short section of a flat, rectangular-sectioned gold ingot, trapezoidal in plan. Shows clear evidence of having been chiselled at both of the narrow ends.
