Copper alloy VESSEL. A cast copper alloy decorative pouring spout in the shape of a dog’s head. The spout emerges from the mouth, is circular in section and has an internal diameter of 6.12mm. The head has vertically projecting ears that run down the sides of the head which are oval in shape. The head has a prominent brow and a ridge running along its length. The eyes are slightly recessed. The underside of the dog’s head is flat. Copper alloy brooch. Annular flared brooch with decorative elements to each side. D-sectioned frame. It has a deep,collared recess at one side which would have once contained a stone of some description. Opposite on the other side of the frame is an ovoid projection with a central groove on the front. There is incised line decoration around inner face of frame, recess and on edges of protrusion. Copper alloy steelyard weight. Leaded bronze. Part of a sub-spherical weight. It is decorated with three shields containing a lion rampant, the arms of Poitou and a band of incised lines around the top. The base has been sheared off probably by the plough. Inside is an iron ring slightly smaller than the circumference of the weight. This was possibly used together with the lead to give the object it's weight. Surviving height:41.60mm. Max diameter:60.97mm

Copper alloy buckle frame with sword belt hanger. Half only survives. It is a double looped frame with a lip and loop projecting from the centre bar at right angles to the frame. The bar is narrowed from the frame. The outer edge of the remaining loop is recessed. There is a circular recess opposite the lip with flanking tapering elongate recesses following a line of frame ridges. The loop is circular.

Copper alloy hooked tag. Triangular tag tapering to a small hook. The wide top of the triangular plate has three circular pierced holes. There is one at each corner. The corners are broken. The other hole is in the centre. The edge is scalloped. There is a slight knop at the top of the D-sectioned hook. The hook is pointed and thicker than the plate. The hook is bent out of shape about two-thirds of the way up.

A cast copper alloy sword belt buckle of medieval date. The rectangular douple-loop buckle has a transverse rectangular suspension loop which projects from one side of the long edge. This is at the mid-point, either side of the centre bar. The front of the buckle has slightly champfered edges and the back is plain. There is a double notch on one of the short side to act as a pin rest. Dimensions: 28.4mm by 25.77mm by 3.56mm. Weight: 5.68g.

Copper alloy thimble. Heavy duty, domed, closed type. It is straight sided and slightly pointed. It has a thickened rim with a groove above it. There is a fold in the rim indicating that this was made by a process of stamping and hammering. The indentations are hand stamped in a spiral all over the surface. There is no blank area on the dome. The indentations are uneven in size and depth. They show through inside around the dome.

Copper alloy brooch. Plate brooch. 'Wheel'brooch. Fragment of narrow, circular felloe or outer frame. There is a central lozenge plate with a short spoke from each point, four in total, to the felloe. There is a small lug on the outer edge of the felloe at each spoke. Only one spoke remains. The central plate has an incised circle. Inside this is a concentric band of dots, inside which is the stub of a central boss. The back is flat and undecorated with a small catchplate behind the spoke.

It is made of sheet metal which which has been folded in four pointed leaves possibly over a solid core, forming a saltire aperture at the front. Fragment of copper alloy strap fitting. Small zoomorphic head with a short length of shaft from the back. The head is fox-like with the nose,eyes and small ears visible. From behind the ears the object narrows into a straight shaft at the end of which are the remains of a rivet hole. The object is broken at this point. It is possibly part of a small strap-end with a separate, riveted plate. Possibly a belt mount.
