Medieval silver toilet article earscoop / toothpick combination. Oval ear coop with a twisted stem with four concave sides each decorated with a median line of engraving, before a collar with five ribs formed by lines of transverse filing on each face which line up imperfectly, above which the stem is circular-sectioned and tapers to a point to form the toothpick. There are traces of gilding on the collar and twisted stem. The circular-sectioned end is now bent.
Length 107mm. Diameter at collar 3mm. Weight 4.4g.
