Medieval copper alloy brooch. Hexagonal frame with concave sides, flat-sectioned, restriction for (missing) pin on outside edge in the centre of one side. The upper face of each side is decorated with a shallow crescent-shaped depression filled with a line of tiny pellets in very low relief. The brooch does not appear overly worn but the decoration is only just discernable. Maximum external width 24mm. Maximum internal width 15mm. Thickness 1mm. See Egan and Pritchard (2002, 258, no.1346) for a pewter brooch with hexagonal frame decorated with pellets from a late 14th century context.

Incomplete small-long brooch, Leeds 1945 cross pattee derivative type, all below the lower part of the bow missing. The head-plate has notches at the angles in the upper edge and flanking the springing of the bow in the lower edge. Lines of fine punched annulets follow the edge of the notches. A rectangular panel forming facets is extant at the top of the D-sectioned bow. It is decorated with the remains of a transverse groove. Twin pin lugs with remains of decayed iron pin on reverse. The break across the bow is ancient. Length at least 30mm. Width 18mm. Late 5th century.

A heavily clipped denier of Conrad, bishop of Utrecht (1076-99). There are four piercings near the edge of the coin, arranged roughly as the spots on the face of a die. One of these is now empty, the other three still contain small silver rivets. Two of these rivets secure a catchplate formed of a silver strip; a pin attachment would doubtless have been secured by the other two rivets, one now missing. Late Saxon incomplete lead disc brooch. Less than a quarter of the original edge survies. The decoration, which covers all of the survivining surface, comprises at least 7 closley spaced concentric beaded rings. There may originally have been a central device but no trace of it ow survives. On the reverse is a folded catch-plate, now squashed, at right-angles to the edge of the plate. Pin missing. Original diameter (recomnstructed) circa 40mm. Thickness 2mm. For a similar brooch see NMS-109141. Circa 10th century.

Fragment of Early Saxon copper alloy probably small-long brooch. One corner of the incomplete head-plate with straight upper edge and rounded projection with single stamped ring-and-dot on one surviving angled side. Single pierced lug for the (missing) pin on the reverse. Break across the base and side not recent but not very worn. Surviving length 15mm. Surviving width 15mm. Original width (assuming symmetrical, and centrally placed pin-lug) 18mm. The surviving fragment does not compare well with other known types of head-plate.
