The flat-sectioned hoop, now squashed, has zigzag edges and deep transverse grooves giving the impression of two flat bands twisted around each other, which meet the elongated hexagonal bezel without forming shoulders. The hoop is decorated externally with a zigzag line with multiple stamped annulets filling the resulting triangular fields, separated at either end from the plain rear of the hoop by two transverse lines. Incomplete medieval gold finger ring. An oval collet forms a bezel, the upper half with sloping, concave sides, the lower half with flat sloping sides. The narrow, broken and slightly distorted hoop is oval-sectioned, expanding slightly at the shoulders to small triangular bosses at the join between the hoop and the bezel. There is no trace of engraved decoration and the rear of the hoop is missing. When found, the collet contained a red or pink stone, presumebaly glass, which had sunk into the collect. The plain, pointed oval-sectioned band, now distorted, tapers slightly from the collet to the rear. There are no marks. Width of bezel 11.5mm x 10mm. Height 7mm. A gold disc back-plate, the reverse flat with a central integral rivet surrounded by file marks, with a gold setting on the front formed from four cusped sides which rise to form a rectangular collet. Medieval gold finger ring. The bezel consists of a lion couchant, moulded in high relief and soldered to the hoop. The beast's rump is faceted with multiple hammer marks. There are deeply moulded grooves on the mane and paws, and a deep groove for the mouth, but the top of the lion's head is worn smooth, with only traces surviving of grooves indicating the nose and eyes. A medieval finger-ring set with a sapphire. It has suffered considerable damage, the hoop now distended. The form is a decorated stirrup shape, with two four-petaled flowers forming the shoulders and two others symmetrically decorating the hoop. The damage to the ring has removed much of the inscription, which would have covered the external face of the hoop. The traces of some letters can be discerned. They read as follows: ......V... R(?)DEFIN The "N" is reversed. The original meaning of the inscription cannot be established.

Gold finger-ring with circular collet, in the form of a quatrefoil, set with a turquoise cabochon. The narrow hoop of flattened D-section is decorated at the shoulders with foliar motifs and with inlaid dark blue enamel at the terminals. The collet can be compared with that of a ring from Newball, Lincolnshire, which was dated to the late 15th or early 16th century. (Treasure Annual Report 2003, 108, no. 194).
