Rectangular plate tapering very slightly towards the terminal, one copper alloy rivet at the attachment edge and one above the lozengiform terminal knop, with a probably forked spacer visible on either edge through orange corrosion probably from iron. The front and back-plates are both plain. Length 43mm. Width 14mm. 13th - 14th century.

Fragment of a Late Anglo-Saxon silver strap-end of Thomas' Class A, Type 1 with Trewhiddle-style decoration.
