Late Saxon or early medieval copper alloy incomplete cast trapezoidal openwork hasp tapering from the complete end to towards an ancient transverse break. Very worn, with small bosses around the outside edge and along the edges on both faces. At least 14 irregular sub-oval apertures in the plate. Surviving length 36mm. Maximum surviving width 22mm. Surviving thickness 3mm. 11th century.
