Late Saxon or early medieval object, possibly a bracelet or mount. Bar of shallow D-shaped section expanding very slightly from a break to a moulded animal head with pointed ears and slightly up-turned snout with a tapering D-sectioned projection extending from the mouth, probably intended to represent a long tongue, the tip of which is missing. Surviving length 48mm. Maximum width 7mm. Maximum thickness 5mm. The surface is corroded. No very close parallel has been found but Late Saxon bracelets with stylistically similar animal head terminals have been recorded including NMS-E90A2…

Fragment of copper alloy bracelet. Flat-sectioned, broken at one end, narrowing to blunt hook at the other. Decorated with a transverse line before a ring-and-dot with beaded borders deffined on their inner edge by longitudinal lines. Width 6mm. 3rd - 4th century.

Fragment of copper-alloy Roman bracelet. Two strands of wire twisted around each other, then flattened on the internal, upper and lower faces to give an almost square overall section. Broken at both ends, curved. Section 2 x 2mm.

Cast copper alloy Roman penannular bracelet. About half survives. Decoration consists of a circular-sectioned terminal reel, after which the decoration is not fully rounded and there is a median arris internally, bead with engraved angled grooves, concave moulding, smaller bead with angled grooves, five irregular transverse grooves, three pairs of intersecting lines followed by a pair of transverse grooves, after which is a possible median arris defined by a groove to either side which peters out or has become worn, and a groove along either edge which continues to the break.
