Bar of shallow D-shaped section expanding very slightly from a break to a moulded animal head with pointed ears and slightly up-turned snout with a tapering D-sectioned projection extending from the mouth, probably intended to represent a long tongue, the tip of which is missing. Fragment of side lobe from an Early Saxon great square headed brooch. Very little original edge surviving, inner panel decorated with engraved lines and ring-and-dot with one ring-and-dot decorated lobe projecting from the edge. Lozengiform plate with four lozengiform apertures formed by a diagonal cross with round bosses in very low relief at the centre of the cross, the corners of the lozengiform frame and to either side of the flat base. The mount is otherwise plain. Broken across the upper aperture, the apex loop missing. Right-angle flange with single rivet hole filled with the remains of the corroded iron rivet.
