Description: Unidentified silver object, possibly a mount, complete but in two refitting pieces. The object is cruciform in shape, comprising a central rectangular panel from which project four animal-heads, forming the arms of the cross. One animal-head has broken off at the neck and is now separate; two are bent inwards at 90 degrees to the central panel, and the fourth is almost straight with a slight inward curve. Post-medieval silver bodkin or headdress pin. Rectangular-sectioned, tapering to the blunt point, broken across the rectangular slot at the upper end, the terminal missing. Decorated alike on both faces with two transverse lines below the slot from the lower of which multiple longitudinal engraved lines descend, lengthening towards the centre. Roman copper alloy sprung dolphin brooch. Undecorated C-sectioned wings, triangular-sectioned bow with concve sides and flat upper face, with a median ridge at the upper end. Almost complete triangular catch-plate with triangular aperture. Blunt-ended foot. Double pierced lug retains the spring with four coils on one side and five on the other. Medieval copper alloy rowel from spur with 24 radiating arms, each of which is rectangular-sectioned with bevelled edges, expanding slightly to pointed terminals. The arms are conjoined for about half thier length with a central, sub-oval hole, possibly of irregular shape as a result of wear. Traces of tinning survive on both faces. Maximum diameter 73.5mm. Medieval lead ampulla. Lower half only survives, neck and loops missing. Spencer's (1990) type 1 scallop shell on one face, an uncertain design on the other consisting of two pellets surrounded by a circular border with intersecting lines crossing the border to the edge of the ampulla. A scratched X accross the face appears deliberate. Surviving length 32mm. Surviving width 37mm. 1300 - 1530.

Medieval or post medieval copper alloy spoon. Round or slightly oval bowl, now bent and torn at the edges, with no visible marks. The stem is rectangular-sectioned as it tapers from the bowl, becoming narrower and more oval-sectioned towards the simplified and elongated acorn knop. Width of bowl at least 49mm. Length of bowl (reconstructed) circa 60mm. Length of stem 122mm. 14th - 16th century.

Two silver groats of Henry VII, both struck at London between 1507 and 1509. Both have little wear and were found within 15 feet of one another. These coins are uncommon as stray finds and the presence of two so close together surely indicates that they comprise part of a hoard lost or deposited in the area and subsequently dispersed by agricultural activity. The lack of wear suggests that loss or deposition took place not many years after the coins were struck, probably circa 1510-25.
