Found while searching with a metal detector in Wereham, Norfolk
Description
Incomplete silver hawking vervel: a small shield-shaped plate with the scar of a missing ring on the reverse. The top is scalloped and the base pointed. Engraved decoration on the front consists of a contour line and a cross. For a short discussion of vervels see Treasure Annual Report 2004, no. 345.

Description
Silver finger-ring consisting of simple undecorated hoop with soldered butt joint. Slight hammer marks are visible over all the outer surface. Possibly late medieval or post-medieval, although there are no diagnostic features.

Found while searching with a metal detector, in Description Incomplete silver lace tag or chape. The terminal, probably made from filed and tooled thick wire, is in the form of a stylised, elongated and collared acorn above a slightly swollen shaft engraved with cross-hatching. 17th Century silver button
Description
Composite three-piece biconvex silver button, the underside of which is now squashed and a distorted, with a D-sectioned wire loop. Engraved decoration on the top consists of a six-petalled flower within a circle and with the spaces between the petals filled with parallel lines, all set within a band of short oblique lines between two concentric circles. There are two blow-holes on the reverse.

Description
Silver gilt mount in the form of a fish and made from a thick piece of sheet folded lengthways and hammered together at the tail. A gap or socket runs along the rest of the underside as far as the head. The tail and the head, which has suffered slight damage and distortion, are cut to shape and gilded, and both are edged on both faces with an engraved groove. Found while searching with a metal detector.
Description
The oval bezel has a rebate at the shoulders, with a missing stone or glass setting. There is a fragmentary Anglo-Norman inscription around the broken flat-sectioned band (back part missing): + EOAIM[.........]ALMENT (I Love ?..., the incomplete final word is likely to be an adverb although alment alone means step or walk). The letters M and E are ligatured.

Silver gilt dress hook. The plate, which is cast in one, is in the form of a four petalled rosette with four conical bosses, and has a central hole where a fifth decorative element would have been held in place by a rivet, now missing. On the reverse there is a large scar where the (missing) hook was soldered into place. The transverse attachment bar, also soldered into place, is stamped with the makers mark AK. Very similar to a five petalled version in Gaimster et al (2002, 167, no.10).Measuring 16 x 15mm. 2.71g.16th century
