Gold finger ring consisting of a sub-circular sectioned hoop without bezel. There is no decoration, inscription, maker's mark or hall mark. Cf. an example from Suffolk (PAS SF-FCF822). With such a lack of diagnostic features the object cannot be dated more closely than to the Roman period or any time thereafter. External diameter 23mm. Internal diameter 19mm. Thickness 2.5mm. Weighing 5.38g.

There are at least two transverse creases which may indicate a join but the ring is slightly distorted, making this uncertain. Dimensions: External diameter 20mm. Width of band 7.5mm. Weight 2.29g. Silver finger ring of Henig's type XI with wide bezel set with an oval disc showing a scene in relief. This features a male figure reclining to the left; he holds out what appears to be a ewer towards a bird. This represents Ganymede, Jupiter's cupbearer offering a drink to his master in the form of an eagle. A tiny fragment of silver finger ring. A flat sectioned fragment of the band, expanding in a smooth curve to a fragment of shoulder or bezel with at least two indentations, survives. Probably Roman, possibly similar to a white metal example in Crummy (1983, fig. 52, no.1791).

Fragment of silver finger ring. Rectangular sectioned loop expanding to a moulded oval snake-head terminal with beading around the edge, flat internally. Fragments of silver snake finger-ring of Johns (1996) Type C, a form "which incorporates two or more complete snakes in the design" (Johns 1997, 35-7): two lengths of wire, both with a snake-head terminal and one end missing, form a loose reef knot . Part of a probably separate object, a pin with a small biconical head, passes through the centre of the knot. All three fragments move freely, although the pin is held in place by the other two pieces and cannot be withdrawn. 1st - 2nd century.

'D' sectioned, expanded and flattened for bezel Set with oval black glass with chamfered sides, impressed with (now undecipherable, possible bust facing left) design, cracked and chipped. Parallel transverse engraved lines either side of setting and further engraved wavy lines around setting. Internal diameter at least 19mm, width of bezel 13mm, glass setting 9 x 11mm. 1st - 2nd Century AD (Johns, 1996, 42 - 3).

Romano-British finger-ring, part of hoop missing. The hoop, at its narrowest (2mm x <1mm), expands and rises to an oval (13mm x 8mm) bezel, which an angular S-shaped divider splits into two equal sized cells filled with glass, one translucent blue or turquoise, the other opaque and decayed, perhaps red or green. Internal diameter 20mm. 2nd – 3rd century.
