Medieval copper alloy buckle. Asymmetric frame with one larger oval and one smaller rectangular loop, the bar recessed for the (missing) pin, slight depression on the oval outside edge for the pin rest. Measuring 27.5 x 33mm. Width of rectangular loop 20mm. Probably 14th - 15th century.

Medieval gilt copper alloy buckle. Oval frame, bar and pin missing, triangular outside edge with a notch to either side of a rounded apex, decorated with an engraved single line border forming a triangle either side of a central transverse band of engraved rockerarm. Surviving dimensions 21 x 45mm. See Whitehead (2003, 25, no.117) for a broadly similar example. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy buckle. Rectangular plate, folded widthways, recessed for frame, slot for pin. A fragment of the pin and bar survive, the rest of the frame is missing. Three rivets, one behind the slot and two (one now missing) at the attachment edge. The back-plate is narrower than the front-plate and broken transversely. The front-plate is decorated with an engraved line following the edge and very slight traces of gilding visible through heavy corrosion. Length 36mm. Width 12.5mm. Circa 13th - 14th century. Finder's reference AB240.
