Post-medieval silver dress fastener eye plate cast in the form of a fan of feathers with an opposed angled lines with curled ends either side of an arrow at the base of the fan. The feathers are alternately plain and cast with a central rib and angled lines. The plate is pierced twice to form attachment holes, with the third attachment loop projecting from the top of the fan and an oval eye projecting from the base. Read (2008) Class A, Type 7, see 175, no.662 for a hooked example depicting feathers.
