Medieval rectangular double frame buckle, just over half surviving, pin missing. Multiply engraved oblique lines within single line borders engraved on sides, traces of tinning. Measuring 46 (reconstructed) x 43.5mm. Very similar to Dress. Access. fig.62, no.447.

Non-symmetrical double oval buckle, central bar projects slightly beyond frame, narrowed for sheet metal pin with raised transverse bar, bar for buckle plate missing, corroded surface with specs of gilding. The central bar is decorated with closely spaced square cells around and between which traces of blue enamel survive. The outside edge has scrolling foliate decoration surrounded by traces of blue enamel. Almost identical to an early 13th century Limoges example (Boehm and Taburet-Delahaye 1996, 287, no. 91). Folded buckle plate, broken at fold. Recessed for frame, slot for pin. Gilding within originally engraved lines now stands proud of the corroded surface. Equal armed line cross within a Greek cross within a circle with a rectangular border. Four rivet holes, three containing rivets. Measuring 18 x 16mm.

Fragment of oval sectioned tinned spur terminating in two conjoined attachment loops. Buckle plate attached to one loop by hooked terminal, lobed on either side of hook, expands towards slot for pin. Iron staining indicates the missing pin and possibly the buckle frame were iron, traces of tinning, square stamp on reverse. Buckle plate 25 x 13mm, spur at least 18 x 15mm. Similar to a 17th century example from Somerset (Read, 2001, 65, fig.41 no.499).

Possible fragment of medieval mirror case or other case / lid component. Disc recessed to a depth of c.2mm on both sides with sloping edge 6mm wide, un-pierced flat lug with file marks projects from side at right angles to disc. The sloping sides and lug are very similar to mirror cases shown in Egan and Pritchard, 2002, fig 241, however, none of these are recessed on both sides. Original diameter c. 53mm.

'D' sectioned, expanded and flattened for bezel Set with oval black glass with chamfered sides, impressed with (now undecipherable, possible bust facing left) design, cracked and chipped. Parallel transverse engraved lines either side of setting and further engraved wavy lines around setting. Internal diameter at least 19mm, width of bezel 13mm, glass setting 9 x 11mm. 1st - 2nd Century AD (Johns, 1996, 42 - 3).

Two rivet holes close to centre of attachment edge, outside edge consisting of a transverse roll moulding that projects slightly beyond the sides.
