Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age basal fragment of a bifacially worked sickle blade of plano-convex section. The pointed tip is recently broken transversely revealing unpatinated black flint. The extant part is patinated white with spotty iron staining with one small patch of weathered cortex on the dorsal face. Both faces are entirely covered with direct soft hammer percussion flakes overlain with invasive pressure flake scars. Cf. a similar sickle blade from Barton Bendish (NHER 13548). 75 x 28.5 x 8mm. c.3000 - c.1500.

Late medieval or early post-medieval gold posy ring. Very shallow D-sectioned band decorated externally with three rows of stamped square cells leaving a grid pattern in low relief. There is no trace of inlay surviving in the cells. Inscribed internally in roman capitals CONTINV x CONSTANT x. A small worn mark at the beginning of the inscription is probably another x. The ring is now bent out of shape and damaged in several places. Both the external decoration and internal inscription have several parallels including LON-DD00A6 and IOW-1C6D62. Width of band 3mm. Late Bronze Age penannular ring fragment, or 'ring money'. Sub-oval-section, slightly flattened on the upper and lower face, with a copper alloy core and outer banded gold sheath. The banding appears lighter with an almost silvery colour on the outer face and a darker, slightly blackened appearance on the inner face. Broken at both ends with possible traces of having been cut or chopped. The exposed copper alloy surface is fairly corroded, suggesting ancient breaks. See NMS-5D0C86 for a similar complete example. Weight 5.7g. Width 8.5mm. Surviving diameter 17.5mm.

Silver grosso of Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia), Rome, 1492-1503, adapted by the cutting out of a disc from the centre of the coin. The reason for this is uncertain; annular brooches are known which have been similarly treated but they are generally over two centuries earlier in date and have a hole drilled in the perimeter to accommodate a pin. Dress fastener consisting of a single piece of circular sectioned wire formed into a spiral 'figure of eight' which would have been sewn onto a garment, ending in a hook with a rounded end. The hook is applied to an incomplete decorative plate, upon which there is partly visible some filigree work.
