Post-medieval silver headdress pin fragment of the bodkin type. Only the upper end survives. Rectangular-sectioned with a small knop at the terminal above a circular aperture, broken across a rectangular slot. The engraved decoration within a single line border following the edge is alike on both faces and consists of (from the top down) a line around the circular aperture forming a point-down teardrop, eight dots arranged in two vertical lines of four, a point-up single line chevron, groups of three angled lines either side of the rectangular slot. The bulbar face has been invasively flaked to "straighten out" this side in relation to the scraping edge; this could be related to hafting of this implement although most scrapers where hand held. 60 x 34 x 12 mm.
