Copper alloy mount, probably from a medieval or post-medieval vessel. Rectangular with rounded corners, a central sub-triangular aperture with probably broken edges, with an empty rivet hole to either side. There mount is very slightly concave on the reverse, suggesting it may have been attached to a curved surface. Measuring 29 x 31mm. Circa 14th - 17th century.

Medieval copper alloy buckle. Rectangular plate, folded widthways, recessed for frame, slot for pin. A fragment of the pin and bar survive, the rest of the frame is missing. Three rivets, one behind the slot and two (one now missing) at the attachment edge. The back-plate is narrower than the front-plate and broken transversely. The front-plate is decorated with an engraved line following the edge and very slight traces of gilding visible through heavy corrosion. Length 36mm. Width 12.5mm. Circa 13th - 14th century.

Medieval or post-medieval silver cock-spur. Circular ring, broken across three of four attachment holes in the incomplete flanged edge, with an integral prick extending from the opposite edge. Stamped externally with a probable maker's mark in the form of a 5 with an elongated top bar crossed by two short lines. Diameter of base (reconstructed) 12mm. Length 19mm. Weight 2.0g. Undated but ancient octagonal-sectioned gold bar, very slightly expanded at the complete blunt end, irregular at the other end as if cut several times and then broken, the break partially granular and unworn. Surviving length 20mm. Maximum diameter at the complete end 7mm. Weight 8.9g. Perhaps Bronze Age. See NMS-CE16B3 for similar undated gold fragments which were found at a nearby site.

Post-medieval silver hawking vervel. D-sectioned band, the convex face inwards, engraved externally BILNGFORD IN NOR presumably for Billingford. There is a faint transverse line between the G and E indicating the join in the ring, and the remains of a very worn and now indecipherable mark between the R and B, perhaps a maker's mark. External diameter 11mm. Internal diameter 9mm. Width of band 2.5mm. Weight 0.57g. Circa 17th century.

Description: Undated gold finger ring. Sheet band with median repoussé rib. There are at least two transverse creases which may indicate a join but the ring is slightly distorted, making this uncertain.

Brooch manufactured by the addition of a copper-alloy backplate and pin to a silver penny of William I. The front of the brooch (the reverse of the coin) has been gilded, and the backplate and pin mechanism is attached centrally by means of a silver rivet. The backplate is poorly preserved and incomplete, but appears to have consisted of a 4-5mm wide strip, perhaps with the edges bent up (the photograph does not include a side view and the details of the pin fixings were not noted at the time of recording). Incomplete C-sectioned wings decorated with at least three transverse ribs, broken rear hook, triangular-sectioned bow with possible median longitudinal rib now almost complete worn away, and a shallow line along each side, with an incomplete catch-plate on the reverse.
