Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup strap mount of Williams' (1997) Class A, Type 8. Triangular, with two circular attachment holes above a right-angled stepped flange, with a worn and debased animal head projecting from each end of the lower edge and a larger worn and debased animal head projecting at the apex. Below the apex projection is a slightly larger hole from which very worn ribs or loops in low relief emanate. Length 51mm. Width 31mm. Weight 22.1g.

Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams' (1997) Class B, Type 4, now very worn. Fully modelled mask with pointed ears between which is the apex loop, large round eyes with central blind holes forming pupils, and a prominent, slightly up-turned nose. No details of the mouth or chin are visible. Angled flange with single hole filled with corroded iron. Hollow-backed. The edge of the plate is irregularly scalloped. Height 44mm. Width 27mm.Circa 11th - early 12th century.

Late Saxon incomplete copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams' (1997) Class A, Type 12. Lozengiform plate with four lozengiform apertures formed by a diagonal cross with round bosses in very low relief at the centre of the cross, the corners of the lozengiform frame and to either side of the flat base. The mount is otherwise plain. Broken across the upper aperture, the apex loop missing. Right-angle flange with single rivet hole filled with the remains of the corroded iron rivet. Surviving height 27mm. Width 31mm. 1000 AD - circa 1100.

Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup-strap mount, Williams Class A, Type 1. Sub-triangular or pentagonal, with an angled flange retaining two corroded iron rivets, two rounded knops on either side, with two more flanking the rounded apex loop. The engraved decoration is a highly simplified version of two addorsed beasts, although the design is so debased the features can no longer be seen. Length 50mm. Width 32mm. 11th century.

Very worn decoration cast in low relief comprising an interlaced animal, seen from above with head at the apex, with very worn animal-head terminals projecting from the lower corners of the mount. Williams (1997) Class A, Type 10C. Surviving length 53mm. Width 31.5mm.

Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup strap mount. Triangular plate depicting lion in low relief facing right, one front foot riaised and head tilted up with open mouth. The trilobed apex is formed from two spirals either side of the pendant loop, which retains a fragment of corroded iron rivet. Angled flange with two rivet holes, blocked and surounded by iron corrosion. Williams' Class A, Type 11 (1997, 66, fig.43, no. 266). Length 56mm. Width 29mm. 11th century.

Openwork Ringerike style head of a beast or monster is seen in profile with a crest at the back of the head, looking up towards the top of the stirrup. Engraved lines defineing the detail of the crest are now very worn. 11th century, Williams' provisional Class A. Height 47mm. Width 34mm. Thickness 13mm.
