Non-symmetrical double oval buckle, central bar projects slightly beyond frame, narrowed for sheet metal pin with raised transverse bar, bar for buckle plate missing, corroded surface with specs of gilding. The central bar is decorated with closely spaced square cells around and between which traces of blue enamel survive. The outside edge has scrolling foliate decoration surrounded by traces of blue enamel. Almost identical to an early 13th century Limoges example (Boehm and Taburet-Delahaye 1996, 287, no. 91).
