Medieval copper alloy buckle-plate. Rectangular-sheet, folded width-ways, recessed for (missing) frame, slot for (missing) pin, front-plate tapering very slightly towards attachment edge, back-plate slightly smaller than front-plate. Five rivets (one central and one near each corner). Traces of gilding and a single, zig-zag line border survive on front-plate. A fragment of leather strap survives between the two plates. Measuring 50 x 29mm. 12th - 15th century.

Medieval copper alloy buckle. Incomplete oval frame with off-set, narrowed bar, the outside edge expanded to form three lobes, each with a separate dome-headed rivet. One rivet is missing with the frame broken across the rivet hole. One side, pin and most of bar missing. Traces of gilding. Measuring (reconstructed) 27 x 28.5mm. For a similar, complete example, see Whitehead (2003, 24, no.110). 13th - 14th century.

The pin is rectangular-sectioned, with a slightly raised moulding incised or stamped with a tiny cross at the base, beyond which the upper face of the pin is bevelled on both edges. External diameter 20mm. Internal diameter 13mm. Thickness 3mm. Weight 4.0g. 13th - 16th century.

Late medieval or post-medieval copper alloy buckle. Double-oval frame with narrowed central bar with filed grooves defining a transverse rib on the frame at either end of the bar. Two transverse grooves on one outside edge form the pin rest. The sheet pin is broken, and has patinated a different shade of green from the frame. Measuring 30 x 25mm. See Whitehead (2003, 54, no.302) for a broadly similar example. 1400 - 1650.
