Medieval copper alloy buckle. Oval-frame, off-set narrowed bar, thickened outside edge angled up-wards with notch for (missing) pin. Rectangular plate, recessed for frame, slot for pin, folded widthways with a single, large rivet. Two engraved transverse lines across and imediately behind the pin slot. Traces of gilding survive on the frame and plate. Buckle 25 x 28mm. Plate 33 x 20mm. The frame and plate are of unusually substantial construction. 13th - 14th century.

Incomplete medieval copper alloy probable spur buckle. Integral cast plate with trefoil terminal the outer two foils of which have shallow concave mouldings on the upper face. There is a oncave moulding on each edge and two empty holes (one rivet and one for missing pin). Broken across the end of a rectangular frame. Surviving length 24mm. Width 15mm. Thickness 3.5mm. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy buckle. Rectnagular-sectioned frame with off-set, narrowed bar, convex sides and straight, expanded outside edge recessed for the (missing) sheet roller. The bar has a central notch, presumabely to help keep the pin in position, although the sheet pin is too wide to be held by the notch and may therefore be a replacement. Measuring 20 x 18mm. Cf. Egan and Pritchard (2002, 73, fig.44, no.288 and 298). 13th - 14th century.

Buckle. A distorted frame with a notched lip on the outside edge and a ridge on either side of the frame before a tapering integral plate. The hole for the (missing) pin is filled with corrosion. There is a rivet hole in the plate filled with corroded iron, and the worn end of the plate may be broken across a second rivet hole. Of a similar type, but with no exact parallel, to examples in Whitehead (2003, 33). Frame 19 x 18mm. Plate 15 x 9mm.

Medieval copper alloy buckle. A trapezoidal frame with a curved outside edge with a shallow central notch, and an integral plate which tapers in line with the sides of the frame. There is one integral rivet in the plate, and a hole for the (missing) pin filled with corroded iron. There are traces of gilding on the plate and the frame. Frame 15 x 13mm. Length of frame and plate 30mm. Cf. Whitehead (2003, 33, no.187). c. 1250 - 1400.
