Double oval frame with narrow pointed projection at either end of narrowed bar, larger pointed projection in centre of each outside edge and triangular notch on internal face of outside edge. Slightly hollow reverse, bevelled on front face. Pin missing. Measuring 59 x 39mm. See a broadly similar example in Whitehead (2003, 62, no.372). 16th - 17th centiry.

Post-medieval silver buckle. Rectangular frame with rounded corners, expanded drilled sides for the separate corroded iron spindle around which the ends of the button chape are folded. Pin missing. There is a stamped maker's mark on the chape next to the spindle of a lion passant. Frame 18 x 14mm. Chape 16mm long. Weight 2.4g. For a similar example see Whitehead (2003, 103, no.633) dated 1690 - 1720.
