Engraved decoration consisting of a rocker arm border with two longitudinal lines either side of a central scrolled leaf motif. Back-plate missing. Length 30mm. Width 15mm. 12th - 13th century.

Angled oval frame with trasnverse ridge before integral plate with hole for (missing) pin and single rivet hole before transverse break accross two probably originally rectangular apertures. Frame 14 x 17mm. Plate at least 7 x 12mm. Similar elements to buckles in WHitehead (2003, 35, no.202 and 205). 13th - 14th century.

Late medieval or early post-medieval copper alloy locking arm buckle. Rectangular frame with rectangular-sectioned sides drilled for separate spindle and (broken) locking arm. Cast pin with transverse pierced oval-sectioned lug to attach to bar. The outside edge of the larger loop has a transverse flange, the upper edges of the frame concave with a notch at either end. Measuring 29 x 17mm (excluding arm). Width 32 including arm. See similar examples in Whitehead (2003, 89, no.552 - 4). This type of buckle is now thought to date from c. 1500 AD.

Incomplete medieval copper alloy composite buckle. Expanded convex outside edge with radiating engraved lines and one deep transverse groove. Only a short section on the flat-sectioned sides survive, broken across circular piercings for the separate (missing) bar. Length 23mm. Width 18mm. See NMS-DEFDC5, NMS-C42583 and Fingerlin (1971, Abb.324-5, Kat. Nr.229 and 192).15th century.
