Neolithic to Bronze Age secondary hard hammer struck blade-like flake, broken transversely with the proximal end missing. It is of unpatinated mid-grey flint with steep non-invasive retouch applied with direct percussion to the ventral face along one edge, the other edge exhibits fine use wear. Perhaps used as backed blade or simple knife. 37 x 24 x 8 mm.

Late Upper Palaeolithic long blade which appears to be struck with a soft hammer from a single platform core. Flake directions are difficult to observe as the piece is heavily patinated white with some small areas of spotty iron staining. The proximal end is missing, broken recently and revealing unpatinated black flint. One lateral edge has been steeply retouched along its length at a later date, perhaps during the Neolithic or Bronze Age and has a light grey patination. Such re-use is uncommon, but not unknown.
