Treasure report from Dr Andrew Rogerson: Incomplete and distorted silver unidentified object: two identical hollow cones of octagonal section are soldered together at their bases, and four rings (one missing) are soldered to the joint; these appear to be for suspension. At both apices there is a jagged break. The date and function is uncertain, but it may perhaps be a knop from the stem of a vessel. It may be more than three hundred years old.

Medieval or post-medieval unidentified object: gilt copper alloy mount held by a riveted stud to iron sheet. Convex with hollow underside, 30 x 25.5mm. Edges partly scalloped, part straight, and with to lobes. The front retains small patches of gilding and is covered with engraved decoration now mostly standing fractionally proud of the surrounding surfaces. Probably Roman, fragment of unidentified object: >1mm thick, probably cast plate, broken at both ends but with apparently original curving inner and outer edges. 12mm wide at both breaks, it widens towards the centre where there is round perforation (diammeter 6mm) and, on the outer edge, a sub-square, thickened lug. If the complete object was annular and had an opposing lug, it would have measured c.70mm, with an internal diameter of c.30mm.

Unidentified copper alloy object. Flat-sectioned narrow rectangular bar now bent into an S-shape, with shallow or worn transverse grooves and small notches along the edges. Broken at one end, terminating at the other is an irregular quatrefoil with two smaller foils next to the bar and two larger foils at the end. The foils are separated by concave recesses and each foil has two tiny notches on the edge. Unidentified object. Two cast silver rings, one D-sectioned (external diameter 12mm, internal diameter 9mm) the other circular-sectioned (external diameter 11mm, internal diameter 7mm), linked by a strip of silver forming a triple ribbed loop (width 3mm), the ends of which are tapered, twisted and broken. It is possible that the twisted ends of the connecting loop were inserted into leather or cloth leaving the two rings to act as suspension loops, although the fitting would have been unable to take much weight. Date: Probably medieval. Dimensions: Weight 2.0g.
