Unidentified and undated fragment of silver, gilded object. Curved, concave on both wide faces, narrowing slightly from one end towards the other, the outer edge knurled (multiple closely spaced transverse ribs) between narrow raised borders at either edge, the inner edge slightly convex and plain. Broken at both ends, one break extending around to the inner edge slightly leaving the possibility that there was an internal projection. Thickness 3mm. Width 7 - 9.5mm. Weight 2.5g. Surviving length 22mm. If the outside edge continues to form a circle the original diameter would be circa 3…

Incomplete circular-sectioned shank with complex head consisting of a rectangular knop with X engraved on three faces and three intersecting lines forming a star on the fourth, a concave moulding, bead with engraved line around the base, and a small terminal knop. Similar to Type 2 pins from Colchester (Crummy, 1981, 28 - 9). Maximum diameter of head 7mm. Length of head 18mm. Total surviving length 60mm. Circa 100 - 300 AD.

Circular plate pierced twice at upper edge, engraved saltire, the arms meeting the outer edge, with a transverse engraved line on each arm. Short complete or near complete hook. No trace of niello.
