Shallow 'D' sectioned band expanding smoothly to rectangular bezel consisting of a central lozengiform panel engraved AI surrounded by four triangular facets each engraved with a triangle filled with horizontal lines. The shoulders are engraved with lozengiform fans. 18th century The style of the lettering and the shape of the bezel are more consistent with a dating to 18th century. 17th Century gold posy ring. Band consisting externally of ten circular bosses with corded borders. Between each boss on both sides of the band are smaller round knops. The flat internal surface is inscribed 'God gives in crease to Loue and peace'. The 's' of crease is very elongated and almost in the form of an f missing the cross bar. A gold posy ring with a shallow D-sectioned band which is undecorated externally, and inscribed internally In thy sight is my delight followed by a stamped maker's mark within a square, possibly JD. The D is clear, but the first letter of the maker's mark is less certain. The band is now distorted, and slightly damaged at points along the edges. Incomplete silver finger ring, additional to a fragment discovered 02/04/07 (Treasure case 2007 T219). Rectangular sectioned band broken at one end (where the upper part of the break joins the previous fragment), cut diagonally at the other. Inscribed externally: 'ias---' and 'melchiar'. Both fragments together comprise about 1/3rd of the band. The full inscription would have spelt the names of the three magi, Jasper, Balthazar and Melchior. A gold finger ring, now distorted. A mourning ring with a shallow D-sectioned band, decorated with a simple stylised skull with teeth, eye sockets and nasal cavity, but missing the mandible. Two tiny particles of black may be all that remains of black enamel, but thet are too small to be certain. Inscribed internally RH oB 17 ° oct 87 (RH died 17th October 1687). An incomplete silver gilt stirrup-shaped finger-ring, about one third of the flattened D-sectioned hoop missing. The rectangular bezel is set with deep pink glass en cabochon. As the hoop begins to rise to the bezel there is a concavity on both faces. Gilding is extant only on the inner face. Width 4.5 - 6mm. External diameter 21.5mm. Internal diameter 19 - 21mm. Length 29mm. Weight 6.48g. Rings of this form were manufactured from the mid 12th to the 14th century (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, 326-7).

Medieval gold finger ring. The bezel consists of a lion couchant, moulded in high relief and soldered to the hoop. The beast's rump is faceted with multiple hammer marks. There are deeply moulded grooves on the mane and paws, and a deep groove for the mouth, but the top of the lion's head is worn smooth, with only traces surviving of grooves indicating the nose and eyes.
