Post-medieval silver finger ring, broken and flattened but complete. Shallow D-sectioned hoop expanding to form rosettes or a foliate motif in low relief either side of a rectangular bezel on which a heart bisected by two arrows is reserved on a stippled field. The decoration on the shoulders is very worn. Width of bezel 5.25mm. Weight 1.2g. Incomplete silver finger ring. Broken, the rear of the hoop missing, swelling smoothly from the narrow, oval-sectioned breaks through the shoulders to form the bezel which is undefined and undecorated except for a slightly flattened centre. The lack of diagnostic features makes dating difficult, but the form would be consistent with Roman finger rings, although a post-medieval date is also possible. Width of hoop 22mm. Width of bezel 7mm. Weight 3.7g. Field JH2
