Description: Unidentified silver object, possibly a mount, complete but in two refitting pieces. The object is cruciform in shape, comprising a central rectangular panel from which project four animal-heads, forming the arms of the cross. One animal-head has broken off at the neck and is now separate; two are bent inwards at 90 degrees to the central panel, and the fourth is almost straight with a slight inward curve. Medieval copper alloy rowel from spur with 24 radiating arms, each of which is rectangular-sectioned with bevelled edges, expanding slightly to pointed terminals. Spencer's (1990) type 1 scallop shell on one face, an uncertain design on the other consisting of two pellets surrounded by a circular border with intersecting lines crossing the border to the edge of the ampulla. A scratched X accross the face appears deliberate. Surviving length 32mm. Surviving width 37mm. 1300 - 1530.

Two silver groats of Henry VII, both struck at London between 1507 and 1509. Both have little wear and were found within 15 feet of one another. These coins are uncommon as stray finds and the presence of two so close together surely indicates that they comprise part of a hoard lost or deposited in the area and subsequently dispersed by agricultural activity. The lack of wear suggests that loss or deposition took place not many years after the coins were struck, probably circa 1510-25. The crowned hearts may refer to the marriage of Charles II to Catherine of Braganza in 1662.

A gold posy ring with a shallow D-sectioned band which is undecorated externally, and inscribed internally In thy sight is my delight followed by a stamped maker's mark within a square, possibly JD. The D is clear, but the first letter of the maker's mark is less certain. The band is now distorted, and slightly damaged at points along the edges.
