Medieval copper alloy composite horse harness pendant consisting of an elaborate quatrefoil outer frame with four arms, each projecting saltire-wise from the interstices of the quatrefoil and ending in a globular terminal. Broken suspension-loop at the apex of a vertical slotted projection transversley pierced with an iron pin and containing a separate swinging fleur-de-lis pendant. The pendant is corroded and covered with much iron corrosion. Measuring 32 x 45mm. See Griffiths (1986), no.18 and also related types in EAA 120, fig.5.93, SF 81 and SF609. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy dagger guard. Sub-oval plate with one convex and cone pointed edge, a central rectangular slot for the (missing) tang, with a short oval-sectioned quillion expanding slightly to blunt terminals, at either end. There is a lozengiform-sectioned, crescent-shaped projection with a very worn and possibly broken terminal and traces of possible crosshatched decoration and the stub of a second on the pointed edge. Length 46mm. Maximum thickness (at terminal of quillion) 8mm. Tang slot 14 x 6mm. Very similar to two examples in Read (2001, 86, no.628 and 629. C. 15th century.

Strap-end. An elaborate composite strap-end consisting of a front-plate, full-width sheet spacer, and an additional rectangular mount on the front face of the rectangular terminal knop decorated with radiating grooves. The front plate is broken at the attachment edge just above the terminal of the spacer. Two rivets survive, protruding slightly from the spacer. Incomplete nut crackers. Formed from two cast arms riveted together to pivot. At the pivot point the two arms are rectangular in section, tapering slightly towards either side. Just beyond the rivet both arms are broken. The rivet has a large separate domed rove on either side. The jaws of the tongs are turned 90 degrees to the plane of the riveted section and are in the form of two flat, oval animal heads which are both slightly hollow on the inner face. Medieval fragment of monumental brass. Broken across a black letter inscription, now indecipherable as only the upper part of four or five letters survives. One original edge angled towards the reverse, two long edges broken along deep cast grooves with a third groove surviving between which would have acted as keying to help secure the plate to a wall. Six coins, found in a very small area. All are sterling issues of Edward I and II, together with a sterling of Robert of Bethune. Given the fact that these coins were found so close together and are similar in date, it seems likely that they represent a purse loss at some stage in the third or fourth decade of the 14th century. Medieval copper alloy harness pendant and suspension unit. Sheet suspension unit with rounded ends folded widthways across a slot to hold a copper alloy axis bar which passes through the transverse pierced suspension lug of the pendant. Hollow-backed, equal-armed cruciform pendant, each arm with a median arris and straight terminals, with a central perforation probably for a separate decorative rivet or stud, now missing. Very slight traces of gilding on the pendant. Pendant 37 x 26mm. Suspension unit 19 x 11mm. 12th century.

Probably a medieval buckle of unusual form. Copper alloy sheet cut and bent to form two parallel sides and outside edge. The sides, one of which is incomplete and both of which are now bent flat to the back of the buckle, were pierced twice to hold two (missing) bars, iron corrosion from which surrounds one of the surviving holes.
