Late Saxon copper alloy trefoil strap or harness fitting, worn and corroded, cast with simple and rather crude decoration of slight triangular central boss with three dots within incised bordering line, and dot at each point outside line, each foil has deep bordering line and single dot near central boss, reverse of each foil with rectangular scar from missing lugs and traces of iron corrosion, 45mm across, thickness 3mm, weighs 19.28g. Medieval copper alloy strap-clasp plate or strap-end. Rectangular sheet folded widthways, the end looped but not recessed for a frame. The long edges on the front-plate are bevelled with two notches at either end. There is a trefoil aperture with slight notch, and rivet to either side, at the attachment end. The remains of a leather strap survive between the plates. Length 43mm. Width 25mm. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy strap-fitting. D-sectioned bar with stylised pointed animal head terminal at one end consisting of a ridge to either side indicating ears and concave mouldings defining the snout. There is a rivet through the animal head terminal and another at the other end before a transverse ridge beyond which the plate expands to form an oval frame with rounded knop terminal and double-lobed (almost keyhole-shaped) aperture. Perhaps a form of clasp, similar to the female part of the fitting in Read (2008, 225, no.807). Length 52mm. Maximum width 11mm.12th - 14th century.

Roman copper alloy mount of Boucher's (2008) Type B5 dating to the period c. AD 80 - 250. Openwork circular terminals (one broken) with short projections to either side before a central, raised rectangular plate. The circular terminals each has a crescent-shaped cell retaining corroded blue enamel or glass, and the outer edge of the complete circle may be damaged, suggesting a possible further elemnet sucha as a knop has broken off. Copper alloy propeller-shaped belt stiffener, sub-circular centre between flaring trapezoidal terminals, one of which is missing, with a prominant rectangular-sectioned, median, longitudinal rib terminating ina piercing in the surviving flared terminal retaining a copper alloy rivet. 4th century but such objects occur in Early Anglo-Saxon contexts (Macgregor and Bolick 1993, 210 and 212, cat. nos. 36.8 and 9). Length 32mm, reconstructed 50mm. Width 17mm. For similar examples see NMS-EEDF21 and NMS-19CE40.

Two integral, rectangular-sectioned attachment spikes on reverse, one broken and one blunt ended bent inwards. If both spikes were complete they would have formed a rectangular loop. Plate 24 x 11mm. Internal measurements for loop 19 x 8mm.17th century.
