Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, flat with median rib and pierced lug on reverse. Pointed oval, 44 x 27.5mm. Thickness 3mm (at lug 9mm). Weight 19.28g. Bishop facing left and holding a crozier, with a star above a fleur-de-lis in front and a sprig behind. The lug is considerably worn. + S' OFFICIALITATIS : HERFORDENSIS The literal translation is "Seal of the Herefordian Officiality" The Official (Officialis) was a legal officer of the Bishop, and his office was called the Officiality (Officialitas). 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy horse harness pendant, oval, with a hollow-backed central boss surounded by stamped annulets, probably originally forming a field for a six pointed star although corrosion and wear now obscure the design. There is a rivet-hole below the transversely pierced suspension loop. Four lobes around the damaged outside edge, one of which is missing. Length 44.5mm, width 42mm. See Ashley 2002, fig. 6, nos. 10-12, NMS-BFD6E0 and NMS-5CC297. 12th century.

Late medieval or early post-medieval copper alloy candlestick. Cylindricle socket with slight moulding near upper edge and at least three pairs of incised grooves, tapering sharply at the base to form a circular-sectioned stem with two moulded triangular-sectioned ribs, flaring slightly at the base before the narrowed, socketed end to fit the (missing) separate base. Diameter of socket 24mm. Total height 142mm. 15th - 16th century.

Less than a quarter of the D-sectioned frame with pairs of lightly engraved transvers lines forming ribs with a pair of opposed angled dashes between on half the surviving upper face, and pairs of transverse lines formed from a series of short dashes on the opposite half on the flat underside. Broken across the constriction for the (missing) pin. Width of frame 5mm. Original external diameter circa 32mm.13th - 14th century.
