Medieval copper alloy buckle and incomplete plate of thick sheet now broken across the start of the apertures separating the body and wings, folded widthways to form a short, rectangular back-plate, with a slot for the (missing) pin. Decoration comprises lines of very tight rocker-arm engraving resembling addorsed triangles. Two everted rim sherds with thickened edges and one body sherd with no original edge and multiple shallow scratches covering the internal and external surface. Not enough survives to estimate the original diameter. 14th - 17th century.

A modified (pierced and gilded) post-medieval silver groat of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), mint: Tower (London), initial mark: lis (North 1986) dating to 1558-60. Ref: North 1991. The coin has been gilded and been pierced near the edge at 6 o'clock on the obverse, and it is probable that the modified coin was used as a pendant. The sharp condition of the coin suggests that this adaptation does not date very long after the striking of the coin, probably in the 1560s. Weight 2.1g.

No details of the mouth or chin are visible. Angled flange with single hole filled with corroded iron. Hollow-backed. The edge of the plate is irregularly scalloped. Height 44mm. Medieval copper alloy buckle. Oval frame, with only the terminals of the off-set, narrowed bar surviving. The outside edge is formed from three lobes each decorated with two angled transverse ribs forming a chevron. Externally the lobes are slight, internally the edge is scalloped with four concave foils. Measuring 20 x 34mm. Broadly similar in style to double-looped frames in Egan and Pritchard (2002, 84, fig.51, no.345 and an example illustrated from the Museum of London collection), although this is certainly a single-looped example. Probably 14th - 15th century.

Late Saxon incomplete copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams' (1997) Class A, Type 12. Lozengiform plate with four lozengiform apertures formed by a diagonal cross with round bosses in very low relief at the centre of the cross, the corners of the lozengiform frame and to either side of the flat base. The mount is otherwise plain. Broken across the upper aperture, the apex loop missing. Right-angle flange with single rivet hole filled with the remains of the corroded iron rivet. Surviving height 27mm. Width 31mm. 1000 AD - circa 1100.
