Silvered copper alloy horse harness suspension mount, T-shaped, bent and broken 95 (reconstructed) x 17mm, triangular-sectioned horizontal bar with slightly hollowed back, double-cusped mouldings at lobed pierced terminals and perforated square central boss decorated with engraved lozengiform cross-hatching, from which projects a slotted projection bent backward onto reverse to form twin suspension-loops. Strongly convex blade which is wide in proportion to its length, with an almost straight back which continues the line of the socket and begins to curve upwards towards the missing point. The socket is almost closed and is broken across the nail-hole. Manning (1985, 120-2, plte 57) Type 1b, The form of the cleaver is closest to Q96. The majoity of these cleavers were used for butchering meat and intended for chopping rather than slicing.

Medieval copper alloy composite strap-end. Rectangular, full width sheet spacer, back-plate broken, with cruciform terminal. Single rivet hole at attachment edge and through terminal. Front-plate decorated with faint transverse lines at either end with an X formed from double rows of punched dots between. Length 51mm. Width 12mm. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval strap end. Shield shaped plate pierced at pointed end for (missing) rivet, scar in corrosion shows position of missing bar mount, iron corrosion in the centre of blunt end suggests iron rivet. Surface corroded. Similar examples in Dress. Access. 1991, fig. 103, although these have a notch on either side of the plate before the bar mount.

Early post-medieval sub-rectangular corner mount from book (book fitting). Central circular repousse boss (worn through) surrounded by 13 stamps, some overlapping. Stamp consists of circle surrounded by a ring of trapezoidal cells. Three rivet holes, one edge of plate bent round to attach plate to book cover, other attachment edge missing. At maximum 31 (unbent) x 33mm. Surface corroded and worn. Similar in Margeson (EAA 58) 1993, fig 40, no 456.

Blade tapers towards corroded cutting edge, broken at both ends, at least 5 (two complete) open-work triangles at top of body in line with concave back. Corrosion pattern on top of razor back suggest further projections, now missing. At least 32 x 39mm.
