A medieval mount formed of sheet silver. This sexfoil mount, in the form of a flower, is conical with a central hole and slightly distorted and damaged around the edge. Six narrow, triangular crosshatched fields radiate from the centre to the edge dividing the petals, each of which has a median arris. Although distorted, the edges have been stamped into lobes. Similar but less elaborate examples include a cinquefoil mount from Haveringland, Norfolk (PAS NMS-81E804) and sexfoil examples in Egan and Pritchard (2002, 189, fig.119, no.952, 959 and 990). 13th - 15th century.
