Fragment of silver binding strip or mount, probably from a vessel. Rectangular silver sheet, curved length ways, the long edges rolled inwards, with a broken fragment of silver back-plate or vessel body soldered across the resulting rounded edges on the reverse at the unbroken end. There are two opposed, openwork transverse panels of decoration, consisting of arches terminating in pellets forming trefoils and a cabled rib soldered to the sheet.
