Opposing faces marked 4 / 3, 5 / 2, 6 (very worn, traces of three ring and dots only survive) / 1 (survives as central dot only), Biddle (1990, 693) type Ai. Weighing 0.75g.

Sprung copper alloy Dolphin brooch. Hexagonal sectioned bow with a pair of median grooves along its back from the head to foot, tapering slightly towards foot which has a flat, blunt terminal, most of catch-plate survives. 'C' sectioned wings with one transverse and one diagonal line on each, hook and part of wings filled with iron corrosion from (missing) pin. Length 35mm, width 16mm. 1st century AD.

The eight coins were discovered dispersed over a small area. The group comprises eight silver denarii. The earliest is of Julia Domna, whilst the latest are of the last members of the Severan dynasty, Elagabalus, Severus Alexander, Julia Soaemias, Julia Maesa and Julia Paula. None show much signs of wear although some are rather accreted due to the low silver content of the coins. It seems likely that the eight coins went into the ground together, either lost as part of a purse, or concealed as a hoard. A tiny fragment of silver finger ring. A flat sectioned fragment of the band, expanding in a smooth curve to a fragment of shoulder or bezel with at least two indentations, survives. Probably Roman, possibly similar to a white metal example in Crummy (1983, fig. 52, no.1791).

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy Trumpet brooch. Both ends are missing. The oval-sectioned bow is very corroded has the damaged remains of an acanthus moulding at its centre. There is a vertical scar from the missing catch-plate on the back. The fragment is 33mm long and has a maximum width of 7mm.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Bow-and-fantail brooch. There is a cast head loop, and short tubular wings enclose the axis bar. There is a fragment of the copper alloy pin. There are slight traces of vertical grooves on the bow which expands towards the break where most of what would have been a triangular fantail and catch-plate are missing. , 16 x 29mm. This brooch can be dated from the second half of the 1st century into the mid 2nd century.
