Probable Roman copper alloy hair pin. Incomplete shank swollen and rectangular-sectioned at one end, circular-sectioned and tapering to a bent break at the other. No surviving head or decoration. Surviving length 63mm. Maximum width 3mm. Probably Mid 1st - 4th century.

Roman copper alloy hair pin. Incomplete circular-sectioned shank with complex head consisting of a knurled reel, knurled reel, bead, knurled reel, bead. Similar to Type 2 pins from Colchester (Crummy, 1981, 28 - 9). Maximum diameter of head 6mm. Length of head 18.5mm. Total surviving length 29mm. Circa 100 - 300 AD.

Incomplete circular-sectioned shank with complex head consisting of a rectangular knop with X engraved on three faces and three intersecting lines forming a star on the fourth, a concave moulding, bead with engraved line around the base, and a small terminal knop. Similar to Type 2 pins from Colchester (Crummy, 1981, 28 - 9). Maximum diameter of head 7mm. Length of head 18mm. Total surviving length 60mm. Circa 100 - 300 AD.
