Four base silver radiates fused together in a pile. Given this feature they clearly entered the ground in a similar position and, since they are of base silver, they furnish a case of Treasure. The only legible portions are provided by the face visible at each end of the pile, an obverse of Postumus from his Principal Mint and another of Gallienus from the Gallic Mint operating in the late 250s (with a GALLIENVS.P.F.AVG legend, radiate and cuirassed bust right). Two late Roman silver siliquae, both rather heavily clipped, one of Theodosius and the other of Honorius. The coins have a little wear but not much. The phenomenon of clipping siliquae seems to belong to the very last years of the 4th century and the early years of the 5th. The latest coin was struck between 395 and 402, suggesting a date of loss or deposition in the early years of the 5th century. A group of 39 sestertii dupondii and asses, the latest legible specimen of which dates to the reign of Gordian III. Although the date range spreads over more than a century, they form a compact group and their wear patterns are consistent with coins lost or buried together, the earlier coins generally showing more wear than the later ones. The eight coins were discovered dispersed over a small area. The group comprises eight silver denarii. The earliest is of Julia Domna, whilst the latest are of the last members of the Severan dynasty, Elagabalus, Severus Alexander, Julia Soaemias, Julia Maesa and Julia Paula. None show much signs of wear although some are rather accreted due to the low silver content of the coins. It seems likely that the eight coins went into the ground together, either lost as part of a purse, or concealed as a hoard. 7 AR siliquae and 143 base metal coins to AD 402 scattered over a relatively small area. The earliest coin is a nummus of Constantine I (330-5) and latest coins siliquae and nummi of the house of Theodosius struck no later than the early years of the fifth century. They form a compact group which would reflect the circulating medium in the last years of Roman Britain and is most likely the remains of a dispersed coin hoard. All the coins are a mixture of first and second century AD copper alloy denominations known as sestertii, dupondii and asses (1 sestertius = 2 dupondii and 1 dupondius = 2 asses).and are mostly worn in appearance.
