A fragment of a Roman copper alloy Trumpet brooch. Both ends are missing. The oval-sectioned bow is very corroded has the damaged remains of an acanthus moulding at its centre. There is a vertical scar from the missing catch-plate on the back. The fragment is 33mm long and has a maximum width of 7mm.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Bow-and-fantail brooch. There is a cast head loop, and short tubular wings enclose the axis bar. There is a fragment of the copper alloy pin. There are slight traces of vertical grooves on the bow which expands towards the break where most of what would have been a triangular fantail and catch-plate are missing. , 16 x 29mm. This brooch can be dated from the second half of the 1st century into the mid 2nd century.

A cast copper alloy Roman figurine of a ram. It is well modelled with the raised head turned slightly to one side. It has curling horns, incised pointed oval shaped eyes and details on the horns and coat with a scalloped skirt around body. The recessed underside is roughly finished and has a small rectangular central depression. The legs and tail are broken. It is 42mm in length and at least 35mm wide. The ram and the goat are cult emblems of Mercury and either can be shown accompanying the god (Green 1978, 26).

Romano-British Sprung copper alloy Dolphin brooch, spring, pin, part of rear hook, catchplate and tip of foot missing, end of one wing missing. On both wings a pair of baluster mouldings with a very thin wavy-line rib between them. The bow has a median arris on the reverse and on the convex front a median groove down the centre of which another thin wavy-line rib. Both groove and rib descend to the foot. Despite some recent damage the moulded details are very fresh. For this type of decoration see Hattatt no.887. Wingspan c.22mm, length >39mm. c.40-65 AD.

Treasure report by Adrian Marsden: A hoard of cu alloy objects found in close association with one another and very close to a radiate imitation manufacturer's hoard found in November 2004 (see file). These comprise two RB bracelets and 10 sestertii of the second century. The coins, where condition at deposition can be ascertained, were all heavily worn, suggesting a mid-third century date. Five silver denarii and one silver radiate, found in a close area and running in a straight line as if scattered by the plough. One, a coin of Vespasian, is heavily worn whilst the others, coins of Septimius Severus and his family, were relatively crisp. They form a discrete group in terms of date and denomination and there seems no doubt that they represent part of a dispersed hoard. The group comprises four silver denarii. The earliest, showing some wear, is of Domitian whilst the other three are in crisper condition and show very little signs of circulation. The D-sectioned bow is decorated with a median longitudinal groove with raised sides, the lower half of the bow has an irregular surface, again due to miscasting. Incomplete Romano-British copper alloy protected-loop terret. Just over half of the circular-sectioned ring, which springs from a collar with a deep groove on each long face, is missing. Almost all of the original edge of the skirt is missing, the one short section of surviving edge possibly suggesting a multifoil form, with a curved, round-sectioned attachment loop benieth. The surviving part of the ring, which does not appear to be distorted, shows the loop was a shallow oval. Surviving height 32mm. Surviving length and width of skirt 32mm and 24mm. Late 1st century.

Silver circular disc, probably a bezel from a finger ring. The disc features a diademed head engraved in intaglio facing to the right. Encircling this is the retrograde and somewhat garbled legend ANTONI VIVAS IN DEO. Several of the letters are back-to-front but the meaning is relatively clear.
