Three coins found reasonably close together, a halfcrown of Charles I and two shillings. The halfcrown in particular is not a denomination that is often found as a single find and there is little doubt that these three coins represent part of a scattered hoard. They have probably seen a little too much circulation to date this hoard to the Civil War of the 1640s - loss or deposition probably occurred in the 1650s or 1660s.
