Mesolithic or Neolithic flint axehead. Curved cutting edge, tapering through elongated S-curved profile and sides to butt. Sub-trinagular or D-shaped section, the apex changing from one face to the other with the S-curve. Poor quality, pale grey patinated flint.
Maximum width 45mm. Maximum thickness 22mm. Length 161mm.

Neolithic flint axe, found around 1952 - 56, of elongated, narrow-butted form, and of lenticular section with straight lateral edges tapering immediately from the cutting edge, all of the larger knapping scars are completely ground and polished out over the whole surface, with particularly fine polishing around the gently curved cutting edge. It is of patinated pale mottled grey flint, with some rusty scrapes from iron agricultural implements.
Maximum width (at cutting edge) 48mm. Maximum thickness 16mm. Length 203mm.
Similar elongated axeheads with narrow butts have been found …

Bi-facially worked dark grey flint, patinated pale grey over about half the surface, triangular-sectioned, with an unworked, blunt edge at the slightly wider end where the cutting edge would be expected. Slightly narrowed butt end. Length 109mm. Maximum width 41.5mm. Maximum thickness 23mm.

Transect 15/16.
Probably Palaeolithic. Small sub-triangular tertiary flake with heavy off-white patination with patchy iron staining. Two recent chips reveal grey flint. Probably palaeolithic due to the thickness of the patination although otherwise undiagnostic. Unretouched. 58 x 25 x 7mm.
Neolithic. Large secondary flake with retouch down one side. 84 x 34 x 12mm.
Late Neolithic - Early Bronze Age small, circular tertiary 'thumbnail' scraper retouched on all edges. Diameter 23 - 25mm, 5mm thick.
Six Neolithic - Bronze Age flint flakes with retouch, edge wear or damage to edges.
