Tightly folded up silver band, now in two pieces. The larger part of the band is tapering towards one end, although the tip of that end broke off in antiquity. The other, wider end is where the smaller, separate part of the band snapped off recently. The larger part of the band is decorated with punched dots framing the edges and running in an arching pattern across the band. Two faint, incised lines are inscribed into the dotted arches. The use of the band is unclear. Its original length as well as thinness make it unlikely to have been a finger ring or similar. …

A cast silver ingot hammered into a rectangular bar of slightly rounded rectangular section with faceted edges; length, 30.4 mm. One face shows file marks and a deep cut in one edge and one long side has a testing nick made with the point of a knife or chisel, which is typical of ingots of the Viking period. A Medieval brooch, miniature in dimensions, consisting of a thin lozenge-shaped frame with raised decoration on its front surface. This takes the form of pellets ranged in seven bosses at equidistant intervals. Two half-bosses are separated by a bar, which served as the pin attachment. The pin is now lost. The surface of the brooch is much abraded. The brooch is silver-gilt and dates from the late thirteenth or early fourteenth century.

Roman silver finger ring of 'keeled' type. Circular hoop of square section which expands to a sub-triangular shoulder, each decorated with four incised parallel lines. The shoulders support a flat, ovular bezel with remains of paste for a setting. The orginal stone is missing. Biconical silver bead, probably made from thin sheet and now preserved by being full of clayey soil. The cross-section of the sheet is visible where a small patch is missing on one side. The bead is made in two halves, each with gently convex curved sides and a circular hole c. 2mm in diameter at the narrow end; the seam would probably originally have been soldered together, but now appears to be split along its length. Roman silver finger-ring set with a dark blue to black glass or stone, much degraded. The ring is of 'keeled' type, the hoop semi-circular in section, which expands and swells to form triangular shoulders with raised mouldings. The flattened bezel is waisted in plan and set with an oval stone. The design is difficult to interpret but appears to show a figure seated right on a throne holding out an object in a raised hand. Silver pin of middle Anglo-Saxon date (8th century). The head is flat, tapering in thickness to a minimum of 1.5mm, and is complete but irregular in shape with added engraved decoration, identical on both faces. It appears to depict a stylised animal's head in profile. A mouth is formed from a concave edge with a groove running alongside to delineate the lower jaw, and there is a small projecting nose above forming one of the pinhead's upper corners. Silver Finder supplies SEM image and spectrographic identification, indicating the object is 91.18% silver by weight Dress hook. Read Class D Type 3. Rhomboid plate with central rhomboid lozenge, surrounded by 12 pellets. The pellets are surrounded by cabled borders, and a similar border forms an edging to the plate. The piece is probably of composite construction. A complete hook and a rectangular loop are retained on the flat reverse.
