Silver coin, kindly identified by the finder as a threepenny piece. The size might suggest an issue of George III (1760-1820) or later, from the 1817 threepence issued as Maundy Money (Spink 2017 page 437, no. 3794) onwards. All detail is lost from both sides. A drilled hole of diameter 2.7mm appears close to the edge, so conversion to serve as a pendant may be posited. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1817-1887. Diameter: 15.9mm, Weight: 1.05gms

Silver coin. Silver milled flan of an indeterminate post-medieval denomination, possibly a Georgian threepence or fourpence, with stamps on either side. One side bears the legend H 4; the other bears a seriffed I; other marks are probably fortuitous damage. The coin may have been bent as a keepsake though now flattened again. Silver coin. Possibly a worn threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), heavily worn with loss of all original detail and counter-stamped with the well-separated letters T C on one side, and folded to a flattened S profile. Folding in this manner, presumably as a keepsake, is more often reported of sixpences of William III (1694-1702); the suggestion of an earlier example is prompted by the size and weight of the flan. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1560-1582. Diameter: 18.8mm, Weight: 1.37gms
