Silver coin. An indeterminate low denomination of hammered silver coin, with an inner circle and indistinct lettering on either side. Possibly an issue of Elizabeth I (1558-1603); if so, probably either three-halfpence or, perhaps more likely given the heavy wear, a halfgroat.
