Round long cross halfpenny, probably a Continental imitation of a sterling coin, very worn and now bent to lightly concavo-convex form, probably issue of c.1300-1320, possibly of a Low Countries’ comital issuer named John – Withers and Withers (2006) offer +IOhANNES DEI GRA’ as a common legend on such coins which would fit here. Chipped.
