Silver coin fragment. A small part of a silver hammered coin which has been sharply folded at least twice into a tiny billet. The finder kindly suggests this may have been a cut half or quarter penny short or voided long cross penny, which could imply the period 11180-1278. The mass, however, points to a value of less than one half farthing for the fragment.
