A dispersed hoard of 19 Roman denarii (or fragments thereof), scattered over an area by agricultural activity. The coins are mainly of the Roman Republic but several are of slightly later date, the latest being Gaius and Lucius Caesars issues of Augustus and a PONTIF MAXIM type of Tiberius. The hoard is of a similar date to nearby hoards from Norfolk, such as one from South Norfolk (NMS-00AFB2 with addenda NMS-F70106, NMS-B84D92 and NMS-692AA4). Twelve silver groats and three contemporaneous Burgundian double patards found in the same area as five similar coins in 2014 (NMS-3D8F5B, 2014T655) and 2018 (NMS-D9557B, 2018T106). The first three coins (catalogue nos. 2, 8 & 9) were discovered on 9th March, 2019, nos. 8-9 being found in the same hole. A return with an archaeological team in attendance on Thursday April 18th led to the discovery of a further twelve, including nine in the same hole.
